For the word of God is living and active.
Sharper than any double-edged sword, it
penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit,
joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts
and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all
creation is hidden from God’s sight.
Everything is uncovered and laid bare before
the eyes of him to whom we must give
account.
Hebrews 4:12-13 |

Our Mission Purpose and Benefits |

MISSION |
|
|
|
|
The
Territorial Youth Workers Conference
seeks to encourage, train, and inspire
Salvation Army youth leaders to
helpfully serve their corps,
communities, families and God; to
disciple effectively within their
ministries and through their
relationships with others; and to love
inclusively within an atmosphere that
promotes wholeness, Christian maturity,
service to others and which recognizes
the hand of God in all that we do. |
|
|
| |
|
|
|
PURPOSE |
|
| |
In fulfillment of
its mission, the
Territorial Youth
Workers Conference
operates
within three main
concepts: |
| |
To Inspire
To Encourage
To Train |
|
| |
The first concept, to inspire,
seeks to touch a person’s
creativity, imagination and
passions. Inspiration is the
beginning of imagination and
imagination leads to passion and
from that comes enthusiasm, the
product of which is the
motivation to accomplish
something beyond the status quo,
even the impossible.
The second concept, to encourage, seeks to recognize and
affirm our youth leaders on all
levels both corporately and
specifically. The Territorial
Youth Workers Conference
accomplishes this through
special recognition, words of
general and personal
encouragement and through the
opportunity to network and meet
other members of The Salvation
Army family who labor in the
same manner for many of the same
reasons, sharing similar
challenges and experiences.
The third concept, to train, seeks to provide our youth
workers with the best and most
relevant information in the
areas of youth ministry and
culture and provides them with
practical tools that can be
implemented in their respective
areas of ministry. The
Territorial Youth Workers
Conference training topics and
tracks are practical and
relevant to the needs and
challenges that our youth and
youth leaders face in the world
today. |
